Nigeria’s brand of soccer has always thrilled me personally, and it’s not an issue of blind patriotism. Taste of the fruits abound in the 1985 championship at U-16 World Cup (clip link below), the World Cup thrills in 1994, 1998, and Olympics championship in 1996.
Nigeria opened the U-20 World Cup campaign with a 1-0 victory over Costa Rica. The clip above doesn’t include the goal which came early in the second half; however, that entertaining brand of Nigerian soccer is evident in the boys’ performance.
